Growing grass from seed to be resistant to trampling takes a lot of time.
This process can be accompanied by large expenses and headaches, which is why it is much faster to acquire transplanted grass that can withstand active use. In many cases, transplanted grass has an advantage over seeded grass, for example on steep slopes or ditch banks, where the rain would wash away the seed before it takes root, and in heavily used house areas, where the dog can run holes into the freshly planted area. However, there are situations and places where the use of turfgrass is essential, such as the repair of football fields, where in this manner, a damaged area can be restored in days, or on exhibition fields, creating a temporary grass oasis on a stone slab.
